The Developmental Learning Centre was established to assist children and adolescents with mild to moderate learning difficulties.  If your child or teenager demonstrates three or more of the following characteristics he or she would most likely benefit from an assessment at our Centre.

Performing below age level academically Avoids reading and / or handwriting tasks Difficulty with social relationships Easily frustrated or blames others Awkward or tight pencil grip Skips lines when reading Reverses letters and numbers after the age of 7 Easily distracted, short attention span Behavioural problems at home and or school Disorganised and or frequently loses things Clumsy or accident prone Poor balance, lack of coordination or low muscle tone Difficulty remembering or following instructions Appears not to listen (with normal hearing) Over emotional or hypersensitive Difficulty learning or performing new tasks Diagnosed as ADD, ADHD or dyslexic Difficulty maintaining an erect posture
